Our Story

"People are not made of atoms, but of stories — and so is our brand."

Tale by SuTa is the brainchild of two sisters, Subha and Tamanna. "SuTa" comes from the Sanskrit word for thread — and coincidentally, holds both our initials. Born in 2018 in the city of Nawabs, Lucknow, we create custom luxury occasion wear for women, men and kids, amalgamating Indian and Western aesthetics into contemporary pieces.

Our originality rests in the minutiae — 3D embellishment and hand embroidery, deeply handcrafted with love. We also believe in sustainability, upcycling fabric scrap into something entirely new.

A design and fashion enthusiast, driven by creativity since childhood — from designing clothes for my Barbie dolls to designing for real-life ones. I strongly believe, "I didn't choose my career, my career chose me."

Ta, co-founder

Hi, I'm "Ta" — the other half of SuTa.

A perfectionist who chose NIFT over CLAT and never looked back. "It's not always how people perceive you, but it's all about your personality that stands out."
